Dream Builders

Dream Builders are leaders in addressing the critical need and opportunity for affordable housing, while affirming that homeownership has far greater impact than simply providing shelter for a family. They provide the cornerstone of private support for our mission, and funds are allocated annually to vital programs. These include homeownership, youth and family services, volunteer engagement, house construction and property acquisition.

Monthly Giving

Friends of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake who want to be more actively involved with our work join Carpenter’s Club. Members of the Carpenter’s Club make an annual pledge of regular monthly contributions to support our work. Registration Form

Gifts of Stock

A gift of securities will further the mission of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake and offer you financial and tax benefits. You can make a donation of securities through an electronic transfer authorization or by physical delivery. Your broker can electronically transfer your securities to Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake. If you have physical securities, deliver them in person, by registered mail, or by courier to our office. If they are registered in your name, please provide an Irrevocable Stock/ Bond Power Form.

To notify us of your donation, please complete this form and send a copy to your broker to initiate the transfer of your securities to Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake. Because stock donations transfer to our account with no accompanying donor information, please also send us a copy so we can accurately identify, allocate and acknowledge your gift. If you would like to discuss your intentions in advance, please call Randi Hogan, Acting Director of Development, at 443-297-5237.

The value of your gift will be the average of the high and the low trading prices on the date we receive your gift. The date of gift is the day Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake assumes ownership of the security.

Cars for Homes

Do you have an older car, truck, van, trailer, RV or boat taking up valuable space in your yard?

Your car donation will support Habitat for Humanity’s local and global mission of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness and save you the time and energy of finding a buyer. By donating a car to our vehicle donation program, you can help Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake build houses in partnership with families in need of a hand up, not a hand out.

It is quick and easy to donate automobiles, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment and other vehicles ~ running or not!  Plus, you may be eligible for a tax deduction.  (Consult your tax advisor or the IRS for details.)
