All Maryland volunteers with volunteer dates on or after January 1, 2011 will need to complete, sign, and submit a new Waiver of Responsibility form for the 2011 calendar year.

Please bring this completed form to the Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake office on your build day. Every scheduled volunteer is required to submit a signed and witnessed Waiver form. Anyone over the age of 18 may serve as your witness. Volunteers 16 or 17 years old must include a parental signature in addition to their own signature and that of a witness.

Build Day - Chances are, someone else has already asked the same questions you would like to ask about volunteering in Baltimore with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake. To help you get answers quickly, we have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions.

On the day of your volunteer build day, please plan to arrive at your designated meet location (as assigned based on your build location) at 8:30 a.m.

Youth Policy

Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a volunteer who is 21 years of age or older and must abide by all aspects of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake’s Youth Policy. Volunteers under the age of 16 are not permitted on active construction sites.
