Ella Joseph is an amazing mother and a hard worker. Ella came from her home land, Haiti, to the United States with very little knowledge of writing and speaking English. However, that did not deter Ella. She worked as a nanny for several months, attending classes at night to learn English.
Within six months, she was able to transition from her job as a nanny to work in the hospitality field. It was there that she learned about the Habitat program. Clay Street homeowner Mark Beavers told Ella about the program and gave her an application. She researched the program and decided to apply.
Ella knew that if she was accepted, this program would make her dream come true. And to her surprise, she was selected for the program. Once she was contacted and learned the requirements of the program, Ella was diligent in completing all the requirements.
She is very humble and is so grateful to Habitat for making her dream coming true – owning a home in America!
